Seminars in Translational Science

We are delighted to have Prof. Michael Dustin from the University of Oxford as guest on 3rd July 2025. Next to speaking with many of our scientist, he will give a talk with the topic “A draft atlas of the T cell signalosome”.

Prof. Dustin is Kennedy Trust Professor of Molecular Immunology at the University of Oxford and Director of Research of the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology. In his work over the last 10 years, he has explored the nanoscale organization of the immunological synapse leading to a basic description of the supramolecular assemblies that make up the mature immunological synapse. Surprising findings included synaptic ectosomes involved in T cell help and supramolecular attack particles that mediate cytotoxicity- both of which are found in the centre of the immunological synapse. Next to many others, Prof Dustin was also awarded a Presidential Early Career Award in Science and Engineering and is a member/fellow of the European Molecular Biology Organization, the US National Academy of Sciences, and the Royal Society.
