Seminars in Translational Science

Professor Nikolaus Rajewsky from the Max Delbrück Center - Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology (MDC-BIMSB) will join us at TRON on October 19th. His talk, “Molecular Mechanisms from spatial Omics”, will offer insights into his groundbreaking research in systems biology.

Nikolaus Rajewsky is an internationally recognized leader in systems biology and the founding director of MDC-BIMSB, established in 2008. He is a recipient of the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Award and an elected member of EMBO, the Leopoldina, and the Berlin–Brandenburg Academy of Sciences.

His research explores how RNA regulates gene expression in health and disease. Combining experimental biology, biochemistry, and data science, including machine learning, his laboratory develops and applies single-cell and spatial biology approaches to human tissues and advanced model systems to better understand, predict, and intercept disease trajectories.

Learn more about his research on his laboratory's website.
