Seminars in Translational Science

We are looking forward to the visit of Dr Hien T. Dang from the Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia to TRON on June 26th, 2024. While being here, Hien will present her research and will talk about “Small but mighty: How small changes can alter a cancer cell progression”.

Hien is Assistant Professor at the Department of Surgery at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at the Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, USA. Her research focuses on oncogenic roles of RNA binding proteins in primary liver cancer while employing genomics, bioinformatics, translational science, molecular biology, CRISPR/Cas9 tools and RNA biology. Next to her research, she is also enroled, amongst others, as Chef of the Division of Surgical Research where she manages a liver and pancreatic biobank. Recently, Hien was awarded the prestigious Moonshot Scholar from the White House to advance cancer research.

We are very much looking forward to Hien’s visit and to hearing about her work.
