EIC Transition Grant for RNA Project ARISE - Advanced platform for saRNA production at Industrial Scale in Eukaryotes

A further success for the TRON RNA team: Following EU funding for the YSCRIPT project, which laid important groundwork for mRNA production in yeast cells, ARISE now marks the next key milestone on the path towards scalable RNA technologies. Together with our collaboration partner bYoRNA, TRON has secured a European EIC Transition Grant for the ARISE project.

The goal of the project is the development of a novel biotechnology platform based on eukaryotic cell factories, designed to enable the scalable and cost-efficient production of mRNA and self-amplifying RNA (saRNA). TRON contributes its expertise in the development of therapeutic RNA technologies, thereby further strengthening its role in translational RNA research.

The EIC Transition Grant specifically supports projects in the critical phase between research and application, promoting technological validation and further development towards market readiness.
