curATalk seminar series

We are looking forward to our first curATalk in 2026, which will be hosted by the curATime Cluster Spokesperson Prof. Johnny Kim. Our guest speaker Dr. Matthias Heinig from Genetic and Epigenetic Gene Regulation Group, Institute of Computational Biology (Helmholtz Munich) will give us insights about his work on “AI in cardiovascular genomics“.

During his lecture he will give an overview about his research on the development and application of computational and statistical tools for the identification of molecular regulatory networks that can cause common diseases, especially those ones related to cardiovascular illnesses.

The curATalk will be held in a hybrid formate: In Lecture Hall 401, University Medical Center Mainz and Online. Click here to join the virtual lecture in case you cannot attend in person.

curATime - Cluster for Atherothrombosis and Individualized Medicine - is our collaborative cluster for future which we initiated with the University Medical Center Mainz, the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and many more partners. The cluster is initially funded by the BMFTR for three years. Within curATime, we want to reduce the incidence and impact of cardiovascular diseases, which is the leading cause of death worldwide.
