TRON gGmbH respects and protects the privacy of its website users and recognizes the need to protect their personal data. For this reason, no personal information will be collected when visiting our website. All data processing necessary for the performance of this website, as well as the web analysis tool “Webalizer”, handles only anonymized data, which are not traceable to the specific person using the website.

If you reach third-party internet offers through the use of links (including Twitter and LinkedIn), please note their privacy statements and statements regarding the processing of your personal data. The responsibility for this lies with the respective providers.

If you contact us (e.g. via e-mail, telephone etc.), you consent to the processing of your submitted data (including e.g. name and e-mail address) in accordance with article 6 paragraph 1 (a) GDPR for the purpose of answering your request and contacting TRON gGmbH.  It might be necessary to forward your contact information internally to the appropriate department for adequate answers. Your data will be processed exclusively within the Federal Republic of Germany (mainly at our company location in Mainz), will not be sent to third parties and will be deleted without delay as long as the contact does not result in any further use.  Mandatory statutory provisions, in particular tax and commercial law retention periods, remain unaffected.  You can revoke your consent free of charge at any time.  The processing of personal data takes place on the basis of a legitimate interest within the meaning of article 6 paragraph 1 (f) GDPR and, where appropriate, article 6 paragraph 1 (b) GDPR for (pre)-contractual measures.

With regard to business communications, in the course of cooperations, recruiting processes etc. we use virtual meetings when necessary. For this purpose we use “Zoom” from Zoom Video Communications Inc. (55 Almaden Boulevard, 6th Floor, San Jose, CA 95113, USA) and “Webex Meetings” by Cisco International Limited (9-11 New Square Park, Bedfont Lakes, Feltham, England TW14 8HA, UK) to conduct conference calls, online meetings, video conferences and live webinars.

The following personal data may be processed:

Registration data/profile data: name, e-mail address, password, image, telephone number (some of which is optional)

Hosting & usage data (meeting metadata): IP address, user ID, hardware type, operating system type and version, client version, IP addresses along the network path, endpoint MAC address (if applicable), service version, actions taken, meeting session information (title, date and time, frequency, average and actual duration, quantity, quality, network activity, network connectivity), number of meetings, number of sessions with and without screen sharing, number of participants, host name, screen resolution, joining method, performance/ troubleshooting information/diagnostics, chat content (optional).

We protect the participants of our virtual meetings in the best possible way with privacy-friendly settings and internal usage policies. Sound and video recordings are prohibited and software-based “attention monitoring” and automated decision making in the sense of article 22 GDPR are not used.

Personal data processed in connection with participation in virtual meetings are generally not passed on to third parties, unless they are specifically intended to be passed on. The above-mentioned service providers necessarily receive knowledge of the above-mentioned data, insofar as this is provided for in the respective data processing agreements.

TRON gGmbH has a legitimate interest in the processing of personal data for virtual meetings according to article 6 paragraph 1(f) GDPR. Where applicable, legality also arises from article 6 paragraph 1(b) GDPR for (pre)contractual measures.

The relevant personal data of the participants will be stored until the purpose of the data processing ceases to apply. As a rule, however, the above-mentioned data will be deleted at the latest within 30 days (“Zoom”) or 60 days (“Webex Meetings”) after termination of the service, unless they are subject to a statutory retention period or serve to improve the service.

The processing of personal data in virtual meetings usually takes place in data centers in Europe. In this case, as well, as if the processing takes place outside Europe, we ensure an adequate level of data protection together with the above-mentioned service providers by means of data processing agreements in accordance with article 28 GDPR as well as data protection certifications and EU standard contract clauses.

TRON gGmbH has implemented technical and organizational measures in its business processes to protect your data and has committed its employees to confidentiality.

We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the data protection laws of Germany and Rhineland-Palatinate.

We would like to point out that the processing of personal data by TRON gGmbH results in data subject rights in accordance with data protection laws. You have the right of information, correction, deletion and limitation of the processing of your personal data. Furthermore, you have the right of data transferability, the right not to be subjected to a decision based solely on automated processing and a right of withdrawal. However, the legality of the processing is not revoked  retroactively. Furthermore, you have a right of appeal to TRON gGmbH or the responsible data protection supervisory authority.
