“Making biomarkers functional – a path towards personalized medicine”
Dr. Matthew L. Albert Director of Research INSERM and Head of the Laboratory of Dendritic Cell Immunobiology at the Institut Pasteur, Paris, leading a team in the area of dendritic cell immunobiology and tumor immunity.
His research focuses on:
- Apoptosis and cross-presentation
- The role of autophagy for Ag-delivery to DCs for efficient CD8+ T cell priming
- Signalling networks that regulate antigen cross-presentation
- The role of CD4+ T cell help in in cross-presentation
- Establishment of two new human models for the study of cross-presentation
- Chemokine antagonism in chronic HCV patients
- Generation of a 1st generation map of the inflammatory response to intravesical BCG
- Mechanisms of tumor immunity in patients with superficial transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder
- Combinatorial tetramer staining, magnetic-bead enrichment, and multiparametric cytometry for the detection of Ag-specific T Cells
